Tap2Eat is a cashless payment system used to facilitate the purchase of school meals for children. It utilizes mobile money and NFC technology to allow parents to pre-pay for lunches and for students to access meals by tapping a wristband. This system aims to ensure that children receive nutritious meals, supporting their education and overall well-being.

How it works
Parents dial a ussd code *647# to onboard and self register their children.
Parents and donors could easily contribute through M-Pesa, that is already integrated into our platform.
After parents pay for subsidized school lunches using mobile money, students use the smart wristbands to ‘tap to eat’ in under 5 seconds.

Parents would register on a USSD channel that's accessible on any mobile phone or network across Kenya.

We leveraged smart mobile terminals to securely identify, accept, and process payments from these smart wristbands, all in under 5 seconds.

Children would get smart wristbands that they could use to tap and make lunch contributions in under 5 seconds.
